Please take your Power Back. Your worth is not a measurement of your bank account, your profession, how spiritual or awakened you are, your social standing, your gender, your color or your size. Stop letting companies and Self Help “Gurus” use shame and a lack mentality to market to you. You don’t need to “Hurry Up” Act Now” for fear that you might “Miss Out”. Have You noticed how many times an email lands in your inbox, a commercial comes on or you see an ad that stirs a feeling inside of “not enough”? How many workshops, trainings, books, face creams, supplements, bottles of snake oil have you bought in the promise of “fixing” something about yourself that you didn’t like?
Please take your Power back; no matter how much you want to believe it, you are not broken. You are perfectly imperfect and exactly where you “should be” even if it feels painful right now. I see your beauty underneath the armor and your unique gifts that will be ready to be shared with the world in the exact right time. Take your Power back and allow yourself to See what I see.
Please take Your Power back. You are not separate from the Divine. Do You remember that old story about the guy whose house was underwater? Several people offered to help evacuate as the water rose, but he chose to wait because he believed that god would come to save him. He waited on the roof for god to come; a helicopter pilot tried to rescue him and he said “no, god will save me”. Later a boat came by to rescue him and he said “no, god will save me”. Long story short, “god” never came and the man drowned. After his soul left his body he stood before god and asked, “God, why didn’t you come to save me?” God replied, “I did. I came in the form of your neighbors inviting you to evacuate with them, I came as a helicopter pilot and as a boat driver; you refused to see me in them so now you are here.”
The lineages from which I teach come from a belief in nonduality; we are not separate from anything else in the Universe. Everything we do, no matter how small or how profound, causes a shift in the whole. When you die, your body will decompose and become the fertile soil that will feed future generations. You are Divine; Take Your Power back.
A friend of mine pointed out how she realized that the biggest problem we are facing right now is that people think that they are powerless to god rather than believing that they are elements of the divine itself. You see, if you believe in a god outside of yourself and you see the world going to hell in a handbasket there is nothing for you to do because “it’s God’s Will”. However, when we take our power back and we begin to see ourselves as elements of the whole we KNOW that we can enact change. We know that through awareness and connection we can make choices that Serve not only our best interests but the interests of everyone on the planet AND the planet itself.
Please take Your Power back. “Authority” is a false construct and many rules are arbitrary. Allow yourself the room to get curious about why you follow certain rules or let certain people, ideals or principles control you. Take Your Power back and release any beliefs, habits and structures that don’t align with your integrity.
This is my wish for everyone, could you imagine what the world could be like if we all took our Power back?
